That just hasn't been my experience, or my wife's. I set her up with a laptop running Linux mint and she's constantly complaining about needing to look up command scripts to type in the terminal to get things to work. I have been experimenting with different distros for fifteen years and it has been difficult enough that I'm still primarily a Windows user (my gaming and my job both have things I haven't gotten to work otherwise).

wine or proton doesnt work for apps? i use nobara and all games work great (and i play retro and newer AAA)
