From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I have a large MP3 list and don't always want to make playlists 1 song/folder at a time. Came across FolderPlay as an option that should allow me to drop the root of my MP3 folder in and play all the songs, except it does not have normalization abilities (problem: my MP3s are a mess of different qualities and loudness levels, weren't the 00s a fun time).

Has anyone used this app yet, or know of another that is a little less minimalist? Two important features for me would be "randomization" of the playlist and the automatic normalization of audio, not so important but nice to have feature would be a bass and treble adjustment.

EDIT: Tested Audacious and it does everything I need.

Looks like just pointing it to the directory plays it recursive.
