A place to discuss and support all Steam Hardware, including Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and SteamOS in general.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

If your post is only relevant to one hardware device (Deck/Machine/Frame/etc) please specify which one as part of the title or by using a device flair.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.

I actually don’t have super strong opinions on Hades. Maybe it’s just because I have played gacha games with roguelike features, but it’s kind of frustrating to me to not be able to pick my build and properly level up or anything like that.
I’ll revisit Hades 1 this weekend and see if my opinion has changed, however.
I can't speak for any gatcha games, but the appeal of roguelikes for me is that I can pick up the game, play a run, experience something new, and then be done; very handy when you don't know how long or how frequently you're going to be able to play. In-game experience is replaced by getting better at the game as you understand how it works etc. It's fine not to like that though, they're definitely not for everyone.
