Go research Rudolf Steiner if you want to know more about "magical thinking". The dude was completely insane but somehow seemed charismatic enough to kick off several esoteric movements. He just made up the most insane shit about all kinds of fields: Agriculture, education, medicine to name some of the most popular ones. Steiner is one of the main reasons why esoteric thinking is so prevalent in today's Germany.
