Thanks for @'ing me on this -- I didn't see the comment. Unfortunately, I have Bad News. Turns out that piefed has two levels of moderator: owner/co-owner, who can add other mods, and moderator, who cannot. Because c/linguistics is on lemmy, you can't grant me the owner status, since lemmy doesn't have tiers of moderators, which means I can't add more moderators. You can check out this issue to find out more, but I think probably the easiest thing to do is for you to add @supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz as a mod manually, and they should have the full permissions to manage the moderation team from there on out because they are also on a lemmy instance. It does mean that I don't have the ability to add or remove moderators from my other communities, though, so I guess I'll have to figure out what to do about that. If that's too much for you, lemme know and I'll contact the lemmy world admins and we'll figure something out.
