Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

It doesn't! (ish)

Sugar can slow down the hardening of concrete, but this is too small of a concentration and even if you do increase the concentration it still hardens which (depending on the application) does not ruin it.

Yes from what I can find, depending on the type of concrete, it takes 4-30lbs of sugar per ton. The point is not to keep it permanently plastic, it will set, but its structural integrity is greatly compromised and it will crumble under stresses far, far, lower than it will need to deal with.

[โ€“] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 1 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

So now you have a prison which will catastrophically collapse upon the prisoners?

[โ€“] Nora@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Well no because the other part of this that isnt talked about is... concrete is heavy as fuck, and one ton of concrete is basically nothing size wise. Its more like you have to throw 200lbs of sugar in every truck that arrives at the job site, often with many many trucks.

That was the red flag when I read this. After letting a few footings for a porch I started till captures how many tins must go into a garage floor slab, let alone a prison in billionaire bunker.

[โ€“] Jiggle_Physics@quokk.au 1 points 10 hours ago

The structural issues would mean they could not get to that point in construction

what if I drink the concrete before it hardens? will that work?

The current HHS is probably on board.

I'm not a doctor but I don't recommend it.

[โ€“] Septimaeus@infosec.pub 1 points 12 hours ago

Depends. How are your calcium levels?

[โ€“] Nora@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

There's like a thousand caveats to this though just as an aside. If someone realizes the concrete is tampered with, they're probably tossing the whole batch. It's better to be safe than sorry and they probably don't have time to wait for the lab report on what got added to the mix without their permission.

Not that I'm recommending that people do this, but if you wanted to fuck up concrete I'd think going for a compound that makes it cure faster would be the way to go. Too fast leads to more heat which leads to fractures in the concrete from the intense heat.

Salt. Salt will completely fuck concrete.

There were Chinese construction companies that cut corners and used beach sand instead of more expensive river sand.

The buildings the made are all called Tofu towers or something similar, because you can walk up to the ones still standing and pull chunks off, like they were made of tofu.

[โ€“] Jiggle_Physics@quokk.au 2 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

This works too. You keep forcing them to toss materials, and delay the building of the prisons.

[โ€“] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 hours ago

So you really just need a few huge empty bags of salt/sand/rice/etc, then get caught sneaking out of the mixing plant.
