It really beg on me the question "how did they even get this much star"

I used to see those "stars" are the indicator for if the repo is good or not and now it useless because of AI bullshit

"You can buy comments and accounts nowadays.", too, including Lemmy, I believe, but sources of such claims are usually less "buyable", even if it's known and sure possible.
Sorry, but nowadays indeed, with so many fake, fast, and sorrowful, it's better to share sources, indeed.

The icon also looks like it might have been made by AI raising the chances if them uding AI in other places.
