I kind of enjoyed when Christian Bale killed him with an axe in African Psycho, personally

Apparently, Christian Bale constantly acted like Patrick Bateman even off set. And they didn't tell Leto he was about to be killed with an axe in that scene, so his reaction would be genuine. It's great to know that, for a few seconds, Jared Leto thought Christian Bale was about to kill him with an axe.

I’m curious how they didn’t tell him. Wouldn’t that be in the script?

Did they assume correctly that he didn’t read it?
