Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I use Fedora and Teams for work. The official teams app for Linux was deprecated, MS recommends using a browser and/or the PWA. I use Google Chrome for my MS apps because it seems to work a little better. I have the standard workstation version of Fedora 44 installed, not KDE, but I actually use Sway for my WM instead of GNOME, I just have it available for a backup. I do not have audio issues like this. I recommend you clear all the MS cookies and double check the browser audio access settings for teams, usually available from a button on the left side of the address bar. The volume bar being grayed out is a sign that the teams web app isn't able to see an audio device.
