Argentina played dirty, their yellows were completely deserved and they did absolutely nothing but petty moves the entire game.

Yeah that song was always awful but it's more about being inflammatory than actually racist. It's funny that france acuses argentinians of being racist. In case you didn't know, they still have colonies and charge absurd taxes to former colonies, as well as being very racist themselves. Heck they even depicted a black MP as a "slave". It seems that the only place they like seeing black people is on the pitch.

This has happened multiple times throughout the years, not yesterday. It's simply a reality.
Yes, I know. Argentina was down for a very long time. The 2022 world cup is pretty much the only good thing that happened to them in the last 40 years. Trying to diminish it would be cruel. So yes, Spaniards will say they envy you but they are just being nice.

You see... other countries don't just have football. We have growing economies, scientific achievements, cultural achievements and politicians that are not an international embarrassment. Argentina was in constant crisis for decades, had 200% inflation, growing crime and corruption. So no, people don't really think of Argentina with envy. Personally, I'm glad they have football to help them get through tough times but that's because I have some friends form Argentina and I visited it couple of years ago. Most people don't think about it at all.
So do we. There's a reason the last wave of immigration, from Spain no less, to Argentina was just two generations ago. Heck even now there are 544 thousand spaniards living in argentina.
Each time you get a vaccine remember that the syringe was invented in Argentina. If you or anyone you know needs to get a heart bypass? You guessed it, Argentina. Each time you use a pen? Also Argentina. Our current scientists are also top notch. Just to name an example, Celeste Saulo, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization. Most nobel prizes in south america? Also argentina, with 5 of them.
Are current times complicated? Yes. Will we get up? Yes, we always do.

You also didn't answer my other question, if there is nothing spaniards like from Argentina, why are lots of our grandparents immigrants and why are there 544.000 spanish immigrants right now? There are literally more spaniards in argentina than argentinians in spain.
Because about 90 years ago there was a civil war in Spain and couple of other big wars in Europe. After the war Spain was in a bad state, similar to how Argentina is today, and a lot of people emigrated looking for better life. Argentina was a popular destination because it was culturally similar and people spoke the same language. It was also more stable and welcoming to immigrants as it was looking for people to colonize it's empty land. Isn't that obvious?
Why not go back even further? Where would Spain be if it didn't join the Roman Empire? I'm talking about the last 40 years and you keep bringing up ancient history. It just confirms you really don't have nothing to be proud of in the last decades. Nothing other than football. I'm not saying it to make fun of Argentina. It's just facts. If you really think Europeans are envious of it you're delusional. And no amount of facts will cure your delusions.

Nothing you mentioned (other than football) is recent. If you can't figure out why people that emigrated couple of decades ago are still there I can't help you.

Look up Ley de Memoria Histórica or Ley de Nietos. Essentially, any descendent of Spanish immigrants in the past 90 years, can claim Spanish citizenship.
Now, the number of Spanish born people who have immigrated to Argentina is ~100,000. The number of Argentinian born people who have immigrated to Spain is ~450,000.
I can assure you way more Argentinians would die to immigrate to Spain, than Spanish to Argentina.

Saying that argentinians would "die" to immigrate to spain is a big stretch though. Argentinians usually pick spain because of the language and cultural similarities. However, I feel that Italians are far nicer and share even more culture with us. If we judge just the country, Spain and Italy are far from the best in the region. They aren't in Argentina's situation simply because they're in the EU.

The problem wasn't getting it, it was paying. Messi would've been messi regardless of where he went. Glad it was barcelona though. It's a great club and I never criticized it. I just checked, and, yes , it turns out Catalonia is a region of spain. Maybe you're confusing portugal with Catalonia? That's why CR7 is not part of the spanish squad, but various catalonians, argonians, galicians, and yes, basque players are part of the spanish squad, and they got there through the rich history of football the country has.
3 Euros and 2 World Cups in the 21st century. I’m OK with that, especially given that Spain hasn’t been accused of match fixing in 1978 in home soil, scoring with a handball in 1986 (la mano de dios), or drugging a rival in 1990 (el agua bendita).
But I guess that enshrining those moments is also part of Argentinians being “passionate”.
Argentina won a World Cup in 2024 with a loss and two draws, probably the worst results of a champion in the modern era. They won two copa America during a time when the whole continent hadn’t won’t a single World Cup in 20 years. The only good player they have will retire this coming year, and I’m sure as fuck they won’t win another World Cup until 2050.

If we're playing that game, when Spain won in 2010, they scored 8 goals. That's the fewest ever for a champion. On the other hand, Argentina scored 15 in 2022 (2nd highest in world cup history).

Fine too, Videla seeing the Peruvian team before the match, and granting Peru thousands of tons in international aid a week later, is not basis for any sort of misconduct. Drugging rivals? That’s OK even when Maradona joked about it on live TV in the early 2000s.
Winning is about scoring one more goal than your opponent. Nobody cares when a team scores two if the opponent scored three.
Maybe you’re playing a different game?
It definitely does. Copa America is easier to win than the Euros, even more so if we take into consideration that South America hasn’t had four teams in the top 20 FIFA rankings in maybe thirty years now.
What I’m saying here is that, for all your claims that Spain is a newcomer with no actual tradition winning championships, then I’d argue that Argentina is a has-been that has recently been enjoying an exceptionally lenient treatment by FIFA, and an abnormal cycle of low competitiveness by other South American teams.

Your next best player IMO (Fernández) is an idiot and I don’t see how his antics are helping his case at all. Alvarez is nowhere close.
