Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Last time I tried using my Xbox controller, I found that it was very unstable using Bluetooth or a USB-C to A cable, but just fine with USB-C all the way. 🤷
That's why I avoid Bluetooth for gamepads in general. It depends on the Bluetooth adapter and the standards. If you are lucky, it might work well. But whatever setup you have, it will probably be never low latency as the proprietary wireless adapter from Microsoft. I hate proprietary stuff, but this is the best for Xbox gamepads if you care to play wireless. Off course the dongle costs extra money and then you have to install and update the
xonedriver...
