Stop Killing Games:

The consumer movement to stop game publishers from intentionally destroying older games with kill switches.

The goal is to reach 1 million signatures in the EU so that the european parliament will respond to the initiative that then leads to regulation that requires end-of-life plans for games to stay playable.

Refund and move on. Let them die.

Steam issues refunds within 2 hours.

Make Ubisoft bleed money until they stop opposing Stop Killing Games.

On top of that, if you can prove false advertising, such as an online requirement despite a claim of offline mode, you can claim a refund even after those two hours.

I couldn't say if it's in their policy, but false advertising is illegal and they've had customers' backs on this before like when Tony Hawk's 1 + 2 pulled similar crap.

But I want to play the pirate game (actually never played it before). I wonder how I can play the pirate game without this annoyance 🤔

Play the pirate game the pirate way.

Sarcasm or a plea for help?
