I have a soft spot for that shitty movie. The prison scene was fucking great with the chain and the teacup, those villains with the insanely actually sick lore that was way overdeveloped for one movie, the fucking sun that burns one planet's side as it revolves?!
I pretty much liked all of the Riddick series. I mean, I’m not looking for oscar-worthy performances here, but as far as an action film with some pretty cool worldbuilding? Heck yeah. Also, I’ve always wondered if those translucent predators were based on an old fantasy series by Barbara Hambly called the Darwath Trilogy in which incredibly similar predators emerge in the dark and kill. Never found a consensus as to whether the writers got any inspiration from those novels.
Oh, and a 4th film, Furya is supposedly coming out in a year or so.
