We're having some of the weirdest weather patterns that we've ever seen. Canada is the most susceptible to changes in the environment. Floods happening in the middle of summer, the coldest winter on record for many places, a few years ago the BC highway got swept away.
Fuck oil and it's defenders. There's no reason for progressive expansion of oil. It'll still be needed but not in whatever bullshit amount is being advertised. It's just shills in the industry that don't want the well to dry up.
