Canaanite origin

So.....that means they were there EVEN MORE than 3,000 years ago? That by the basis of 'they were there 3,000 years ago' that Canaanite descendants would have even more right to the land?

I think this is to instill religious bias. Christians (at least of the evangelical variety) think of Canaanites as some godless heathens who deserved to be genocided by the Israelites in the Bible, so...
