I have a theory that Hollywood recycles attractive faces. If you're an actor and you look like a movie star that did well before you're way more likely to make it.
Kurt Russell's son play his younger self in that Godzilla series. Titus Welliver's son played Harry Bosch's younger self in an episode of Bosch.
No easier way to get the likeness than family.
Probably part of the reason why Hollywood has even MORE nepo babies than most other high paying and exclusive industries..
