The beer can and the image on the mug look especially "melty." And his arm looks super smooth. And he has a wedding ring on both hands. And his leg starts out looking more or less like a leg but on the left end it looks more like a pillow.

I'm fairly confident it's AI.

For what it's worth, lots of phones these days are pretty aggressive with automatic post processing of photos, so the photo could be real (ie not AI generated or edited intentionally with AI) assuming the phone has a lower quality camera sensor with bad detail.
