Both sides being equally guilty is a frequent theme in overseas disinformation campaigns.

They aren't "sides," they are at best rival capitalist camps. The sides that matter are classes, and in that the DNC and GOP are aligned on the side of capitalists.

Denying it is a frequent theme of fascists protecting fascism.

They want Americans to think that if they vote out the Republicans, the Democrats won’t make it better.

Okay, say the average American buys it. What will the Republicans do to make things better? They’ve had almost two full years unchecked. Where’s the counteroffer? I’m not seeing it.

There is no counteroffer beside they both represent the same capital

So why reward the one who has power over all three branches of your government and is actively making things worse? Even if the other party will do more of the same, show them both that actions do have consequences. Even if it means you have to go back and forth.

It's like churn in the cell phone industry. Staying with the same carrier will never get you more benefits. They know you have to pay someone for cell coverage, but if no one ever switches, there are no incentives to get people to since they won't. But since they do, those incentives exist and can be taken advantage of if you're willing to switch between the big expensive carriers. Or you save your money and use an MVNO. No real incentive there other than the money you save every month.
