The vice president also suggested if the Watergate scandal that led to the end of Nixon’s presidency happened tomorrow, “It would be like a 12-hour news story.”

He's not necessarily wrong there.

He added, “The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy.”

The fact that any one scandal of either of Trump's terms didn't take him down is exceedingly more crazy.
