Russia has oppressed hundreds of minorities over the years, and the modern Russian Federation is just as bad as MAGA America. Many Russians believe they are the superior Slavic people, and this does not count as fascism to you? Ukraine does have a Nazi problem, made clearer than ever after they named a division after the OUN from WW2, but I dont think it is an excuse to try to ethnically cleanse the lands Ukrainians inhabit in the east. I do contempt Russia, and Im not ashamed of it. Russia Today (RT) is a state owned channel. I don't trust any government owned news network, even in western governments.

The NATO Yugoslav intervention was fair. After Tito died, and Yugoslavia became a Serbian nationalist state, they ethnically cleansed and genocided the Muslim Bosnians and Croatians living in Bosnia and Herzegovina. When they tried once again to do this in Kosovo, then NATO intervened, bombing Serbian cities to pressure the Yugoslav government into withdrawing. I do think Tito was a good leader who led Yugoslavia to greatness, and if he picked a proper successor instead of Milosevic, then Yugoslavia wouldn't have broken apart so violently, perhaps they could have even stayed together, but you can't dismiss what happened after Milosevic came to power.

Im obviously not a fan of 'Israel', and their Zionazism, genocide against the native people who lived in Palestine before them, they are a disgusting ethno nationalist state. It sickens me that being pro democracy makes people assume I am pro Israel.

I don't fully support Ukraine or Russia, they are both oligarchic states who are undemocratic and lack freedom. At the same time, I would rather have Ukraine as a neighbor instead of Russia, as Russia has started many military conflicts since the fall of the USSR, while the same cannot be said for Ukraine.

This is literally what the Ukranians nazis are thinking right now. It's projection.

Ukraine does have a Nazi problem, made clearer than ever after they named a division after the OUN from WW2, but I dont think it is an excuse to try to ethnically cleanse the lands Ukrainians inhabit in the east.

That's what the Ukranians are also doing! They were fucking shelling eastern Ukraine long before Russia intervened in 2022!

I do contempt Russia, and Im not ashamed of it. Russia Today (RT) is a state owned channel. I don’t trust any government owned news network, even in western governments.

Right, you don't trust any government owned news networks but you believe what the western news are saying. This is just chauvinism.

Oh only state owned? Right because the private news are any fucking better, just look at their coverage of "Israel" and Palestine.

Im obviously not a fan of ‘Israel’, and their Zionazism, genocide against the native people who lived in Palestine before them, they are a disgusting ethno nationalist state. It sickens me that being pro democracy makes people assume I am pro Israel.

Well guess what Ukraine believes in!

as Russia has started many military conflicts since the fall of the USSR

Name them.

Meanwhile NATO supports and houses US military, and in fact does join them as well. Don't forget the invasion of Afghanistan, or Iraq. Or the complete obliteration of Libya.

Syria, Vietnam, Korea, Pakistan.

Or the continued and oppressive sanctions and isolation of Cuba. The fucking kidnapping of the democratically elected president of Venezuela!!! The very fucking recent war on Iran??? Hello??

Russia is the aggressive one??

Russia started the conflict in the Donbas when the DPR and LPR 'countries' were founded, after Russian backed paramilitaries took control of the region.. they also seized Crimea, and this is regarded as the start of the Russo-Ukraine war in 2014, not 2022, 2022 was only the start of the full scale invasion. Shelling is part of a conflict, and has been going on since 2014. The start of the war. Russian paramilitaries literally shot down a completely innocent passenger airliner. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_17

"This is literally what the Ukranians nazis are thinking right now." Im sure the Russian Nazis are thinking they are superior too.

Maybe I do hold pro-western views, it makes sense as I was born and grew up in the European Union, and I have thought of my time on this planet as pretty good so far. Most former Warsaw Pact countries now in the EU (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia) all had a cultural renaissance after the fall of the Russian dominated USSR, in the EU culture was allowed to be practiced freely.

It is concerning that Zelenskyy said he wants Ukraine to be a 'Big Israel', but since it says in the article Israel is an important part of the Russo-Ukranian war, he probably wanted to gain more sympathy from Israel. This statement is still pretty undefendable. Bravo, you win on this one.

Name them? Multiple wars in Georgia 1991-2008, Syrian Civil War 2015-2024, Russo-Ukrainian war 2014-Present, Both Chechen Wars 1994-2009, War of Dagestan 1999, Tajik Civil War 1992-1997, Transnistrian War 1992, Central African Republic Civil War 2018-Present, Mali War 2021-Present. All of these after 1991.

This debate is about the Russian Federation, not entities before them, so I won't speak about what they did before 1991.

Russia has made many attempts at kidnapping and killing Ukrainian politicians since the start of the war, but haven't been as successful.

I would also like to make it clear that majority of NATO does not support the Iran War, and as such has not joined the United States. The USA is a bad spokesperson for the rest of the alliance.

All this and not to mention the literal drone strikes on NATO countries since the start of the war. So yes, Russia is the aggressor.
