I'm not talking about Russian military strategy, it's clear that they have made many mistakes. I'm just saying that many Russian products and services are quite good, see the Sukhoi Su-57 or Rosatom which builds nuclear power plants all over the world for example.

The Su-57 is optimized for high angle of attack and raw performance without the engines to truly take advantage of it at a time where raw performance in a manned jet is becoming the least critical aspect.

The Kizilelma is what russia should have made the Su-57 into, but instead they are stuck with a design that was poorly thought out from the beginning.

The Su-57 is impressive and capable, but it is an Oligarch's vision of what an air superiority fighter is and it fails to see the forest for the trees just as all Oligarchs do.
