One of the major yearly exams got leaked in India last month so the BJP has been trying to suppress that news for some weeks now.
So they've launched a racism campaign against China where Indian bot accounts have "discovered" a secretive caste system in China which apparently is worse than the Indian caste system.
They're using two things to support their claims:
- Four Occupations System which has not existed for centuries
- Hukou system which is the Soviet Internal Passport system
This is just 100% cope to feel good about living in a failing state that is India.
I tried to read stuff on the Hukou system, western media is spinning this as a, I'm not kidding, "apartheid" system between peasants (who were FORCED to produce food according to Wikipedia) and urban populations. Then when the reform came the ones registered with an agricultural hukou going to work in shitty western factories were treated just like immigrants from colonies in the West (trust me bro China colonized itself bro it's fucking crazy). No mention of the fact that if you lose your job in town you're literally entitled to land.
They admit it prevented reckless urbanisation and slum formation since the beginning of the opening up phase, and that they improved on issues afterwards though. I think Palestinians would love if they had this instead of what they currently have.

I've heard that rural Hukous are actually more prized than urban ones because you get land rights and that its much easier to convert from rural to urban than the other way around
