yeah, this is kind of a weird article. star trek is such a cultural touchstone it's always going to come back eventually. a break is a healthy thing unless you're toei, and frankly going into dormancy right now with paramount's new leadership (conspicuously absent from the article) is a mercy. and in the meantime, looney toons- no shade, it rules- isn't going to displace trek as a tentpole drama series
