Thought it was already revealed that wasn’t going ahead. They’re aiming for a clear slate once Kurtzman’s contract expires at the end of the year. It’s considered bad form to lumber the next team with unwanted projects.
Wait, Kurtzman will no longer be in charge of Star Trek? This is the best new I've heard in ages!
Well, his contract is up for renewal in the winter, and all the shows on his slate have been cancelled…
