Just a little joy post of some of the things I am growing on the balcony this year that are already making tiny delicious beginnings.

If the pot is nice and large you can let it keep a lot of the runners too that will just hang over the edge and make more strawberries. I plant mine in soil over winter at a friends yard and then plant some of them back in the basket for the summer. Good moisture retaining soil and storage fertilizer and it's such an easy thing. The variety is a constantly producing one, you want one of those for a hanging basket.

strawberries are objectively the most communist plant.

  • the berries are bright red

  • the mothers look after the babies and make sure they get a good start, no social atomization

  • strawberry patch renovation is necessary, and whenever you do it you get a million viable plants to give away
