You know the expression: when America sneezes, everyone catches the cold.

The American tech giants, which are tied to the government because of military and surveillance contracts, despise EU regulations. The US Department of Defense strategy already deemed Europe to be a bigger threat than China and Russia. The American tech companies are also lobbying the EU to loosen the digital privacy laws and regulations. So it helps to keep tab once in a while of American politics.

I repeat this is a perfect argumentation to justify the appearance of this article in a different community.

Or to justify the appearance in this community of how the technilogies policies such as these enable are going to be acted upon on a global scale.

Or to draw comparisons between the downstream technological effects of these policies and others enacted on a global scale in the past.

But this, it's just spamming that the American (subservient) majority of people on these instances is just ok with.

I am not trolling, I just care about the quality of my feed. I am ok with these downvotes as much as I am with the ones I get whenever I speak against Israel.

I don't know what you are whining. I'm not even American, but Lemmy is American dominated whether you like it or not and there is nothing you and I can do about it no matter how much either of us whine. Go to your country's community website if you don't like it. That's like complaining Nairaland is full of Nigerian posts.

I will point out not a majority, but the behavior of that majority in a community that should be inclusive.

With time, awareness of their behavior will become a useful starting point for the judgment of many.
