Is Year 10 the same as Grade 10?
It’s the same as 十年级 if that helps.
It did, thank you so much.
How many bees ia that?
My favorite is when Brits stay stuff like "entering sixth form". Makes them sound like transformers or Pokemon or some other epic transformation.
It's the shift from compulsory education to elective. You're now in school because you want to be, not because you have to be. The attitude of teachers changes a lot.
In my school, it also shifted from a school uniform to "business". It felt like an epic transformation.
Google tells me there's a difference of 1 due to the US calling year 1 kindergarten so year 10 is grade 9.
It's all surprising to me. I did not know there were formals at that age. I thought they were a grad thing.
It depends on the region, in my area of the US we had a Ring Ceremony formal in 10th grade for people getting their rings. Then Junior Prom in 11, and Senior Prom in 12th.
I sorta remember a "homecoming" formal also but can't remember where that fit in.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound stupid, but what is the ring for? Like a purity ring? Class ring?
Class Ring sorry should have been more clear.
Only extremist christian private schools do things like "purity" rings.
Ok. I sort of remember class rings but in these parts you got them at graduation. No graduation, no ring.
Homecoming is in the fall during football season.
