He isn't moving any of his finances is what I've read. Simply to change residence so that he can evade a one time CA wealth tax. Imagine being his kid, losing your entire friend circle, routines, etc, and being moved to another country with completely different climate, customs, hell even language, just because you filthy rich ass dad doesn't want to be SLIGHTLY filthy ass rich...

Peter thiel is a fascistic eugenicist dipshit but the kid might actually benefit a bit. Learning a language through immersion at a young age is the easiest way to learn a second language. Maybe the kid gets spanish fluency out of this.

Are they going to learn a new language? Lots of these people enroll their kids at international schools that teach in English and there are many gentrified places in big cities where you don't need the local language

As an english speaker and spanish as a second language user who lives in a latin american city i’d say it’s pretty hard to get around if you only know english. He’ll probably learn just from being around it. Kids tend to do that with new languages. Like he may attend an english based school but the kids will be bilingual and who wouldn’t want to learn the local slang? And then that snowballs into learning more language until one day you’re accidentally fluent.

Their nanny and other household staff members will protect them from having to deal with such inconveniences.

These rich ass fucks have American-speaking nannies in Argentina while the most fortunate Americans can only afford nannies that speak Argentenes in America. Wtf.

Did you expect them to subject their kids to anything less than an English speaking nanny?

Whats the point of being obscenely rich if you can't insulate the kids from the real world?

He's a billionaire, that kid will never walk into a shoo that isn't closed down with their best english speaker hosting the special customer. It's just one of those things, difference between a millionaire and a billionaire is about a billion dollars. They live on a different plane of existence.

Also, the epstein oligarchs plan on building at least one massive data center in Argentina.

Also don't forget that the proposed wealth tax would essentially be nullified by interest on the remaining wealth in a couple of years. So this isn't confiscatory in any meaningful way, it just slows down the redistribution by a couple of years.
