Isn't this the guy who praises China and the CCP?

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's CPC, and China does a lot right. But people would rather keep CIA narratives than actually learn. Finally, because someone can acknowledge what another nation has done and is doing doesn't make them "far left." Western people have been prodded so far right, so slowly that the collective memory of what US "right" and "left", the common purview is anything left of Reagan is "far left."

China is an authoritarian dictatorship, so if it does anything right that really doesn't matter.

Not that the US are better but what a wild stance to just decide to take unprompted

[–] mrdown@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The usa is a democracy that is responsible of ton of coups, creation of failed states and murder of millions of people all over the world

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 5 points 2 days ago

Yes, that's correct

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

What's wild is blind hatred based on everything I just listed.

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 1 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Is it blind hatred to recognize that china is authoritarian? Lol

[–] mrdown@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

To dismiss any good thing about China yes it is.

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 0 points 2 days ago

When did that happen?

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth -4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

China is quite possibly less authoritarian than Western governments. All states have and use authority. Better it's used for the citizens' housing, health, food, transportation needs than Elon and Bezos.

Edit: also while discussing authoritarianism, perhaps check the thread title and read the article. This is what Western authoritianism is for and spends.

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Authoritarianism is when people are allowed to petition the government with their grievances

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 3 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Way to deliberately miss the point. The point is ethnonationalism and genocide and apologia/encouragement.

[–] TheJesusaurus@piefed.ca 3 points 2 days ago

Uhhhhh...... No see I DONT want to encourage those things. That's why I don't like china

[–] Junkasaurus@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Yes China does all of those things. Really awesome to see you’ve challenged your own flawed reality so quickly 😄
