From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

After a recommendation from Lemmy, I downloaded KDE mobile alongside plasma desktop to see if my touchscreen would work better. This took a little tinkering and figuring out but I really enjoy this interface. fastfetch ^borrowed and reconfigured fastfetch theme from a Lemmy user (lost access to old account so I can't tag them, sorry ) app drawer ^ the slide-up app drawer for KDE Mobile. interstellar ^interatellar, gui client for Lemmy. tuba for mastodon ^Tuba, gui client for Mastodon. librewolf ^librewolf using a larger UI css for touch interfaces. Mostly fine. Couple of hiccups with jumpy and sensitive animations. I wonder if I can fix that in the settings. I haven't delved that deep yet.
