i think it's wonderful film, but i also think civil war allusions were a little bit lib. the implication being that civil wars are silly and fought over trivial matters. obviously it's just one reading of film, but i think take the civil war scenes out of film (it's like three shots of fighting in the distance) and nothing changes for the movie which doesn't take that reading but changes for the one which does

I thought it was a little more drama than his other films but I gave my reasonings already, I agree tho in a way. It can be very entertaining to be on edge during the film's many tense moments.
