Just like that China is making one of America's biggest advantages, it's huge fossil fuel reserves, irrelevant. I don't think it can be stated enough how big of a geopolitical game changer these advances in renewable energy are.
And the funny part is that the US managed to remind everyone why it's so fucking important to move off fossil fuels by fucking up global energy supply.
