Update to this post.

(This update was delayed because I was so completely exhausted and needed the entire weekend to rest.)

My notice of appeal was accepted, to the frustration of my wife's representation. The order to have my son deported was stayed indefinitely pending an appeals hearing which is scheduled for the 17th of June. But we need to be ready long before then.

I am still trying to find a solicitor to take my case, but it should be easier now that there's time to prepare. I'm being told that the upfront costs could be between €1,500 and €3,000, so I'll start by assuming the worst and ask for €3,000. I also know that family law cases can easily reach €25,000 when they're all said and done.

I need at least €3,000 for upfront legal costs (including any related fees and transportation to appear in court).

Our basic needs are being met, but I could always use help with other expenses like clothes and toys. All of the money received will only be used to pay for legal representation, unless you allow otherwise. Thank you so much for any help you can give us. We really appreciate it.
