Not futures, CFDs, considerably more fucked up. Don't think CFDs are even legal in the US.

Basically a cash settled futures contract

Idk why it's considerably more fucked up but I'm guessing maybe because there's no physical delivery it serves even less of a purpose for people hedging their physical goods and just blatant financial speculation on prices of goods?
