People here often don't discuss Armenia, however here is a good example of how utterly captured their prime minister is due to EU anti-Russian interference

They say we lost land. How was that land ours? How was it ours? Please explain, how was it ours?

I don't want to speak behind dead people's backs, but let's say under the control of a few generals who planted wheat there, for instance, let's say, was that it? How was it ours? How? Explain it, how was it?

Did we build a school there, did we build a kindergarten, did we build a factory, did we live there, a settlement... how was it ours? It was not ours. It was not ours.

Yes you are seeing the leader of a country, who had a piece of land annexed amd ethnically cleansed, argue that the terrirory anexxed wasnt theirs. Why? Becuase he wants to give away more land to Türkiye, the biggest supporter of Azerbaijan who did the ethnic cleansing, (not to mention Türkiye's own history with Armenia) to build a railway.

Absolutely wretched.

I included this because Armenia sits on the border with Iran and historically had a good relationship. Ever since the "velvet revolution" of 2018 (CIA backed coup) they've been less and less amenable.

He's even antagonized the Armenian Church, if you're unaware, Armenia was the first Christian kingdom in history so its Chirch holds a massive cultural significance. Many are absolutely sick of him but unfortunately the EU has put a lot of effort behind anti-Russian and Pro-EU propaganda. It's not helped by the fact that Azerbaijan and Russia have a good relationship show the country had no else else to really turn to.

After, Israel, Türkiye is probably the most provocative entity in the region. Iran could do more to influence Armenia in my opinion, as the Iranians and Armenians are still largely fond of eachother.

Azerbaijan needs a reality check as well, as it gets away with too much posturing.

Azerbaijan continues to be a chihuahua country, but in this case the threat is somewhat credible. Which also makes Pashinyan's attempts to be diplomatic with them even more egregious.

I wish Iran would force Baku to behave. Get these pan-turk nationalists to stay in their own lane.
