"If you kill a murderer, the number of murderers in the world stays the same"

Ignoring the obvious counter of "just kill more than 1 murderer", I think this quote exposes the flaw in this whole mentality.

No one cares about the number of murderers, we're trying to reduce the number of murders idiot. A very effective way of doing that is to kill mass murderers.
