Inverters, often called the “brains” of solar panels, control how much electricity is fed into the grid – and, if enough of them are hijacked, they could trigger blackouts if tens of thousands were shut down simultaneously.

Unlike other parts of the supply chain, European producers could cover the inverters needed for the bloc’s continued solar ramp-up, argues lobby group ESMC.

Why can't they just say they want to help out their domestic industrial base? Why do they need to inject yellow peril into everything? (jk I know the answer, but still)
