I'm not fully convinced by any sides of that discussion. Nor I dismiss arguments. Just learning, really.

Fair enough. I recommend the essay I linked regarding the allegations of China as "imperialist," and Problems with Maoism for an introduction to the Marxist-Leninist problems with the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist position in general. Mao was a brilliant Marxist-Leninist, don't get me wrong, but Maoism as an ideology invented by post-Mao people is not.
