I think it’s sarcastic, like pointing out that it’s not actually caused by women but rather the ever increasing atomization of society to extract profit and the garbage stream of content men are exposed to online that radicalizes them against authentic human connection for fear of being “unmasculine.”

But there is an actual male loneliness epidemic, and people are suffering because of it. I don't have it in me to make fun of it. This meme just seems pointlessly cruel.

That’s the point of the meme.
Even if OP doesn’t know it, it’s the truth and shouldn’t have offended people for being the truth.
One should only be offended by this if one holds the belief that women are directly causing men to be lonely. And that’s an entire can of worms to open there.

Sorry to miscommunicate - I did mean that the male loneliness epidemic is very much real. It’s just not caused by women. Although Andrew Tate types like to blame women, because it discourages men from interacting with women.
It’s primarily a shitpost community, so I wouldn’t take anything here as meant genuinely. Lemmy isn’t really like that the way other online spaces tend to be.
Femcelmemes is a vibe, not a cut-and-dry identity. Mostly a sapphic, self-deprecating vibe and nobody is really excluded.
Well yeah, I've been hanging around for a while and I get what the community is generally about. I just don't see that in this meme in particular. I see hate toward men, and that doesn't vibe with me, whether or not someone says "relax it's just a joke/meme". I'll just block this user and keep hanging out in the hopes that I won't see another one like it, or that this thread gets deleted.
If you don't mind my (male) perspective, I chuckled at this with the same brain that chuckles at dark humour and sarcastic self-deprecation...
My interpretation was that it's poking fun at correlation by implying causation, rather than celebrating causation (much like the other commenter said)
I think your interpretation is still perfectly sound as humor is subjective. This particular style is commonly controversial, for the exact reason you raised.
