poison (skunk), dark (raccoon) and psychic (possum... playing possum is clearly a psychic move)
The rock paper scissors works (kinda, dark's immunity to psychic would either make the rival fight a little harder or very easy)

Yea, maybe it makes more sense but would that make skunk dark type? The rick paper scissors for the starters wouldn't work then
