I'm not sure we have the same meaning of identical.
Those cats are close enough to fool me at least.
I guess I'm biased by having a tortie for 15 years.
Having enjoyed the company of Charlotte (pictured below) for seven years, I spotted it within a second and I'm not generally very visually observant 😄
Yeah, as a fellow tortie-keeper, I easily spotted the difference
It helps that neither has any white.
"has ears, tail, fur. Some of the latter is black but not all of it" seems to be enough in this case.
I, a tortie enjoyer but not generally very visually observant, spotted the difference in facial markings within a literal second and would have done it within 10 even if I DIDN'T know there was differences to look for lol
