After he had his stroke and he was doing interviews with the assistive device and talking about the stroke and recovery and all, I thought that/he was great. Showing the ability to persevere and adapt to health challenges.... It's too hidden in the US at large.

And then of course it turned out that he had full-on brain damage from the event and so much for all that optimism.
