The case for drinking alcohol. I've never seen it argued like this before. Usually it's a finger-shaking neo-Puritan saying "it's poison, it needs to be illegal just like weed!" (youtu.be)

Uck. Baijiu is horrible stuff. If you've ever wondered what that oily, acidic unpleasant Victory Gin from 1984 was like, baijiu (especially the cheap stuff, not the Maotai t that Mao drank with Nixon is the world's closest approximation.

I've had Maotai, the best. Plenty of it. It's vile, but there are worse ones. They used to sell ergoutou in sports bottles. They had to stop because too many construction workers were staying drunk on the job all day long.
