it's hard to know how to feel about it (i use deepseek sometimes btw)...at least china is taking steps to mitigate AI issues like consumption and hoarding of chips with that quantum computing and stuff...but it's pretty interesting that chinese AI is getting traction without weird far-right nerds like karp or altman, or that seedance 2.0 is live and well, and sora is dead

If you like AI China is doing a lot for local inference.

If you don't like AI China is accelerating the death of western tech companies.

Basically thank China and Mr. President Xi Jinping.
