What people seem to keep forgetting is that under the ballroom is a bunker that is actually the main purpose of the project, and where most of the money is doing.
Trump wants a newer, even more impenetrable high-security fortress, which he doesn't intend to leave at the end of his term.

No suicide needed; he may die during presidency from legit, severe health problems (that article's already several months old, by the way; he's only been deteriorating more). The demands of presidency take a serious toll on everyone, monster or not...
