The question is how to defeat fascism, not prevent it. This implies that fascists are already in control (and they are), which means they're going to prevent, restrict, or manipulate voting. How, then, is telling people to vote helpful?

Obviously if the midterms are cancelled, then other means are going to be necessary (possibly some of the things that were cut off of the screenshot, who knows). If they happen, then yeah vote the fuck out of them. (But also, don't just vote - but that's another story.) But spreading shit like this will make people apathetic to voting, meaning that if or when the midterms are cancelled, more people will just shrug, instead of flooding the streets in rage and shutting the country down.

We need to be acting like the Midterms are in danger now, not sitting around and waiting a few months for it to be official. If and when the Midterms are canceled it will be too late to flood the streets, the streets need to be flooded before it's already too late.

Yeah, fully agree on that, and would take it a step further: the streets needed to be flooded regularly. The couple of mass protests that have happened up until now can only be seen as a start. That needs to happen on a much more regular basis, among other things.

The streets have been flooded. The votes have been voted. Try something else

The problem is that people come out to protest, on one Saturday, with zero threat of escalation. We need to read theory, form mutual aid groups, join leftist organizations, start worker's strikes, start renter's strikes, elect representatives, control the media narrative, and prepare/train for the inevitable response from the police/military.
