🔻Hezbollah has returned to its roots

Hezbollah in the southern Lebanon battlefield is not just fighting; it is "changing the rules of the game."

The entry of FPV micro-drones into the battlefield marks a serious shift from conventional weapons to modern asymmetric warfare. These small, cheap, and precise drones, guided by first-person view, have now become tools capable of targeting multi-million-dollar Israeli military equipment.

Since 2026, alongside the intensification of Israeli ground operations in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah's extensive use of FPVs clearly shows that the group is redefining its tactics. Repeated attacks on tanks, armored personnel carriers, and armored equipment, using methods like fiber optic guidance that resist electronic warfare, indicate an intelligent adaptation to the new battlefield conditions.

The main advantages of these weapons can be summarized in a few points: very low cost, high accuracy, difficulty in interception, and simultaneous reconnaissance and attack. This means continuous pressure on Israeli armored forces without the need for complex and expensive equipment.

Even with information censorship, signs of casualties and damage to Israeli forces are visible. More importantly, there is a change in the Israeli army's behavior: from increased investment in similar drones to a review of ground tactics.

This is the essence of asymmetric warfare; where a simple tool can challenge the technological superiority of the opponent. FPV micro-drones have become a leverage for Hezbollah that both raises the cost of operations and slows down advances.

The shift from classic models to modern and flexible tools has enabled Hezbollah to deliver effective and continuous strikes against the Israeli army and create a real war of attrition. In today's battle, greater power is not always decisive; sometimes smarter fighting changes the outcome.
