My point was more about photography and ethnography more generally capturing mostly male experiences in the 19th and most of the 20th century.

I understand. I just don't agree in this instance. Comes across as more of the typical painting male as the norm.

Does it really matter in tiny instances like this? Maybe, maybe not.
