Days after lemmy.world admin says violence is not allowed on lemmy.world users start cheering Ukraine doing what the usa did to Iran. Blow up refineries and cause chemical fallout on civilians

Edit.

And now we have calls for anyone saying this is bad should just be killed

What? No, when the Putin sends you (those people) to the front-lines after "surviving" the horrors of Ukraine striking a refinery you weren't even close to (and those people are far more likely to kill civilians, invalidating your argument)

I'm glad liberals have decided that collective punishment is justified, that's great. So you understand now why America deserved 9/11, yes??? smuglord

no one here is cheering for people getting killed

no one, in this thread at least, is cheering, it's indifference. Russia can stop this anytime they want.

Why is anyone in Russia bemused that Russian civilians get killed while conducting war against their neighbour, that's an unserious position to take, they are at least partially responsible for this, as this Russian points out. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/apr/09/i-had-poked-the-bear-right-in-the-eye-my-fight-to-renounce-my-russian-citizenship
