Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Since this update, thumbnails are not loading for me. All I see is the generic gray link image. Clicking on thumbnails works as intended.
Its because you have data savings mode turned on on your phone.
If you want to force jerboa to ignore that, then go into the jerboa settings and click Low bandwidth mode > always off.
Same issue, data saver is not on (plus I'm on Wi-Fi so suspect it wouldn't matter)
Thank you! Working great now.
No probs :)
This worked for me. Thanks!
It happened on two Pixels here too. Data Saver is off on both and both are on WiFi.
After fresh install on WiFi thumbs load. Then turning off WiFi (even briefly), close-reopen app, thumns gone. Data saver is off. Then turning WiFi back on doesn't make thumbs reappear.
You can go into the jerboa settings to force it to use thumbnails I described above.
There's also a new release today that drops the metered network check from the data-saver.
Yup, that setting worked. I'll retest fresh .87 install to see if the default behaviour has changed. Thanks!
